The US presidential election is coming up and several stars are involved in efforts to get people to vote. They're using everything from skits to parody videos and movie scenes to do so. Exercise queen Jane Fonda got into her leotard for a parody of her older video to encourage voters to do their bit and fans loved it.
Actor Jeff Goldblum from Jurassic Park re-enacted his fave act - a shirtless scene - from the film for his fans who registered to vote."WOW! Thank you to everyone who used my @HeadCount page to make sure that you’re #GoodToVote!" Goldblum he posted on Instagram." He also joined stars Laura Dern and Sam Neill in one of the photos.
The cast of the 2004 film 'Mean Girls' - Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried re-enacted a scene from the film over video chat to encourage fans to vote. It coincided with the 'Mean Girls' day on October 3.
Instagram challenge, too
Several celebs such as Lizzo, Mandy Moore, Sophia Bush and Debra Messing also took part in Instagram's #RunwayToThePolls challenge. As per the challenge, they have to post a video of themselves heading to their mailboxes or polling stations to vote in the upcoming presidential election with Lizzo’s song, 'Vote'.
